Unexpected Rawlsiana

From David Reidy's introduction to the Ashgate volume on Rawls (with links added):

Rawls himself painted – mainly in the abstract expressionist style – until the early 1960s; he cited Pollock and de Kooning as his artistic heros.

The Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy has posted Leif Wenar's article on John Rawls. I have some things to finish before I get to read it, but a quick glance at the table of contents suggests that it will be a worthwhile read, and a good resource for students in theory courses needing a quick introduction to Rawls. Kudos for discussing overlooked themes like the role of political philosophy, the liberal principle of legitimacy, and the four-stage sequence.

Of course, this post would be remiss if it didn't mention the other important online exposition of Rawls' thought: Henry Richardson's 2005 entry in the Internet Encyclopedia of Philosophy. Also a good read.
